The inaugural Open Day for Cavendish University Uganda was a spate of entertainment, skills exhibition and talent show.
Prof. John Mugisha the Vice Chancellor noted that the day is instrumental in helping the students show case their talents in various aspects of knowledge.
Scores of students revealed how their lives were being transformed by the various skills that they are acquiring at the campus.
Dr. Olive Sabiiti, the Dean Faculty of Law at Cavendish University said the Open Day was a rare chance to instil confidence into students.
She noted that unlike other universities, Cavendish is the only university in the country with court halls in their faculty of law. Here, she said the students are able to showcase what exactly happens in the courts, but being represented in the faculty of law.
Cavendish University Uganda remains committed to establishing the University firmly in the academic marketplace by investing in refreshing strategic initiatives to improve the quality and delivery of its educational services.
Prof. Mugisha said the University continues to add to its recent investments in people, systems, processes, equipment and infrastructure.
During its (Cavendish University) inauguration, the Chancellor, Benjamin Mkapa, and former Tanzanian President urged students to be innovative and add value to their work in the East African region.
