KAMPALA, Uganda. Ugandans have been urged to support domestic tourism this festive season as a means of boosting local tourism revenue collection.

The call was made by the State Minister for Tourism, Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda while re-launching the AER Lounge located at the Windsor Loop in Kololo on Monday night.

Kiwanda who led a delegation of over 20 legislators from the Tourism committee of Parliament hailed Syed Rahmat Shah the Pakisatani proprietor for starting up AER lounge which he described as an ‘Eco friendly” Lounge in the country.

“I have been to many lounges in Kampala, but AER Lounge stands out far different from others because it is in line with what we are advocating for, eco- tourism,” he said.

Kiwanda said as the festive season hits fever peak, Ugandans should start appreciating ‘eating out’ with their families. “The whole year you stay, cook and eat at home, why not try out a sea food special cuisine from AER Lounge or visit any of our National Parks for sightseeing,” he mused.

The proprietor Syed Rahmat Shah said AER Lounge operates 24/7 and has a wide range of services ranging from Coffee Shop, Gardens, ambience club and restaurant and conference facilities.

“This festive season we have lined up multicusine and Sea Food Special for our guests and movies starting from December 1st to 29th with special Spanish and Belly dance along with live music,” said Shah.

He urged parents with kids to take the opportunity of their kids play area in their 2 acre facility to enjoy the festive season
