So what happened…? Is a million dollar question that remains without an answer today. Titus Tugume however, is in the best position to give a lasting and hopeful solution to the query that is being asked by his fans, his faithfuls and local media.
First the fight had been glorified by the media as one that would make history in the sports field of Uganda. Second Tugume had promised his fans such a great entertainment on the fight night that had been scheduled for 26th January 2022.
So reading this article in any part of the world, signals to a reader that the fighter needs an answer to the immediate question to resolve a make-or-break situation for Tugume.
To the parties in the different categories, their emphasis through this question being asked is the crucial one-wanting Tugume and his management team to explain what happened to the fight that had been waited on so anxiously.
There’s a kind of humility to questions. Someone who doesn’t know asks someone who might – that is why the question remains directed to those in the know.
Both the fans and the media have a relative intimacy between them and the fighter, one that says, ‘We need one another.’ It’s from that kind of perspective that Tugume, not to look like a liar, answers it and rediscover such bonding with his fans.
