The bankers today on Thursday 7th April made a UGX35M donation deposit worth of foodstuff to the Muslim Community for the Ramadhan period.
The packages included rice, sugar, cooking oil, and maize flour and were handed over at the offices of the Supreme Mufti in Kibuli. The goodies will be distributed amongst the various mosques in Kampala.
The Stanbic Bank regional Manager, Ali Lwanga reaffirmed the Stanbic Bank support for the Muslim community as they observe the five pillars of Ramadhan through prayer, fasting, charity, pilgrimage, and profession of faith.
The secretary for religious affairs, Sheikh Yasir Kulumba thanked the bank for sharing with the disadvantaged in times of need. He says the foodstuff will be distributed to the various prisons that had requested for help.
