How Dr. Abed Bwanika has lately been furiously bad-mouthing Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine seem to suggest the man, who abandoned his own political party and turned himself into a political nomad, is likely on a mission to attract some government office from Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. That is if he is not already clandestinely working for the Man of the Hat.
Dr Bwanika, who calls himself a born again pastor but without a born again church to show for it, has lately labelled Kyagulanyi a worst dictator than Gen Yoweri Museveni. The humorous Vet asserts that Museveni at least uses villagers to elect the NRM party flag bearers as opposed to the National Unity Platform principal, Bobi Wine, who purportedly elects his party’s flag bearers from inside his and Barbie Itungo’s marital bedroom.
Furthermore, Bwanika labels Kyagulanyi the leader of Gen Yoweri Museveni’s project designed to sabotage the strong politicians from Buganda on behalf of Gen Yoweri Museveni. This in reference to Kyagulanyi stance that saw him dropping Dr Abed Bwanika’s personal friend as well as his Masaka homeboy, Mathias Mpuuga from his previous lofty job of the Leader of Opposition in Parliament.
Mpuuga had been named as one of the parliamentarians from the opposition side who joined their ruling NRM party counterparts and feasted on more than UGX2Bn controversially dished out to them, by the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Annet Anita Among Magogo.
Mpuuga reportedly received a cool UGX500m disguised as a service award whereas the same had purportedly been doled out to him as gratification for purportedly doing the NRM bidding during the passing of Gen Yoweri Museveni’s controversial supplementary budgets. Mpuuga has since chased himself out of Kyagulanyi’s party and subsequently formed his own party known as the Democratic Alliance.
He prepares to use the same Party to run a parrallel presidential campaign against Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi Ssentamu. Dr. Abed Bwanika has since linked up with Mathias Mpuuga and conducted a politically dangerous vendetta against Bobi Wine. Prior to conducting the current dangerous attacks against Bobi Wine, the legislator from Masaka had previously attacked Dr Kiiza Besigye in much the same manner as he currently attacks the man from Magere in Kasangati.
Bwanika labelled Dr Kiiza Besigye a dictator worse than Gen Museveni out to frustrate the much stronger politicians from Buganda. Furthermore, he dismissed Dr Kiiza Besigye as a spent force who was unreasonably rejecting to give way for the other much stronger candidates than him to take on Gen. Museveni in a presidential election.
By the time Dr. Bwanika launched a vendetta campaign against him, the son of Mzee Kifeefe was still Gen Yoweri Museveni’s strongest political opponent than no other who was around. Frustrated, the man of the rolling eyes later warned that Dr. Abed Bwanika was on a mission to sabotage Museveni’s strongest rivals from outside Buganda by labelling them enemies of Buganda who did not wish Buganda and Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi anything good. Eng Winnie Byanyima’s spouse had counseled that Buganda needed to form alliances with people from outside the region and warned that short of that, the region would never secure state power.
Ultimately, Anselm’s dad lamented that Dr Abed Bwanika’s vendetta against the likes of him was his veiled promotion of Gen. Museveni because he was targeting any strongest opposition who would emerge and stand against the NRM perpetual sole candidate. Besigye’s political weight waned, following Bobi Wine’s emergency on the political scene. The new kid on the block rode on the people power political wave and hit the political scene with a bang.
Interestingly, Dr Kiiza Besigye was the one who coined the people power political slogan and Bobi Wine merely grabbed the same from under his rolling eyes. That was when Bobi Wine visited Dr Kiiza Besigye at his residence in Kasangati during one of the times that Museveni had placed him under house arrest, and sung for him a deeply inspirational song ‘Situka Tutambule’ translated as Get Up and we March On.
Henceforth, Bobi Wine turned the slogan into his own and used the same initially while he was conducting the campaign in respect to the Kyaddondo East constituency by-election that saw him ultimately defeating Dr Kiiza Besigye’s candidate, Apollo Kantinti. He embarked on his political journey that has seen him rocking horns with Gen. Museveni during a presidential election.
The likes of likes of Dr Abed Bwanika, Mathias Mpuuga and other hitherto insignificant politicians would too subsequently ride on the people power wave, defeating the likes of Dr J.C. Muyingo, Ruth Nankabirwa, Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi and Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja, who were much more established politicians than them and who were also cabinet ministers under Gen Yoweri Museveni’s government.
Prior to losing the lofty leading opposition politician position, Dr Besigye had been openly and clandestinely decampaigned by Norbert Mao who even used one of the presidential elections where he was interestingly featuring as a candidate and campaigned for Gen Museveni on the streets of Gulu in the Northern part of Uganda where he hails from.
Following that election, the former Makerere Guild president was finally rewarded by Gen. Museveni with his current cabinet job. He and Gen Yoweri Museveni subsequently entered into a deeply divisive memorandum of understanding and Norbert Mao puzzlingly surrendered to Gen Yoweri Museveni, DP’s grassroot party structures to facilitate his future presidential campaigns. The above-mentioned fishy deal earned Norbert Mao a lot of enemies back in DP and the opposition who have henceforth treated him as an absolute political turncoat.
Matters were made worse when Norbert Mao used Gen. Museveni’s security forces and blocked some of his strongest rivals from standing against or defeating him during the purported recently DP election that controversially returned him to the helm of DP. After securing a job with Gen Yoweri Museveni’s government, Norbert Mao has been busy with the same.
To compound matters, Mao’s critics back in DP have over the years been multiplying by several folds and counting. So much that he can no longer effectively conduct a meaningful vendetta job against Bobi Wine who is Museveni’s strongest opponent of the moment. And since Dr Abed Bwanika previously conducted a good vendetta job against Dr Besigye, it is now thought that Gen Yoweri Museveni’s camp have since recruited him to do the same on their behalf.
Alternatively, Bwanika could be doing the job in the hope that Museveni would eventually get pleased with his services and offer him a government job just as he previously did to Norbert Mao. It should also be recalled that prior to being recruited by Gen. Museveni, Betty Olive Turomwe Namisango Kamya, formerly of the address of FDC was clandestinely conducting political work for Gen. Museveni for which she was initially rewarded with a cabinet job and later the IGG job.
Betty Olive Kamya loved Dr. Kiiza Besigye so much that she even aided him to register as a presidential candidate while he was under detention where Gen Yoweri Museveni had placed him in order to block his presidential candidature. With that said and politicians being politicians, it would not surprise your humble writer, should Dr Abed Bwanika turn out tomorrow as Gen. Museveni’s cabinet minister or Resident District Commissioner. Let’s us in the meantime keep our eyes wide open and ears firmly on the the ground.

You embarrass the journalism profession by calling yourself one. Next time when you are writing first make thoroug investigations instead of embarrassing yourself with below par writeups. You even failed to know that Abed Bwanika has a whole big church in Ntinda? Never get that so involved in your story, spewing your anger and frustrations for everyone to see. That was a pathetic attempt on being a journalist.
