The awards that were launched officially into Uganda’s football in 2015 will this time be staged at the lavish Speke Resort Munyonyo’s Stonehaven Restaurant on December 4th to “Celebrate Uganda’s Finest Football Personalities”.
The Airtel shillings 100million has been injected into this sixth edition of the awards as the football fraternity continues to recognize and celebrate the best and most outstanding football players across the country while recognizing their achievements on and off the pitch.
These awards recognize and honor excellence of Ugandan footballers, both men and women who have gone the extra mile by showcasing resilience, hard work, and passion for what they do. The awards have for the previous five years produced memorable moments in the eyes, hearts and minds of the footballers and their fans who attend the glamorous awards night. The 2021 awards will honor one new category which is the Airtel-FUFA Futsal Player of the Year.
