The win on Tuesday afternoon sent the Ugandan into round three of the ongoing ALL Africa Senior Team Badminton championship 2021, hosted by Uganda at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.
Kasirye Brian, the Flag of Uganda won a great game against Algeria’s Top player Adel Hamek in Round 2 of the Men’s Singles.
Kasirye’s great shocker and win against the West African Adel Hamek comes at the back of Team Uganda’s Bronze Medal win. The National Team won the first ever bronze medal at the All Africa Senior Championships. This is to the team, regarded as historical because it marked Uganda’s first ever top performance in this championship.
Team Uganda settled for bronze at the All-Africa Senior Badminton Championship after losing 3-0 to Egypt. Team’s best performance ever in this tournament. The All-Africa Senior Badminton Championship kicked off over the weekend at the Lugogo sports facility-Indoor Arena, with 12 countries participating in the continental event that concludes on 28th October 2021.
