Security authorities in Mityana and Kampala are in a hunt for a one John Paul Wamala, following his failure to appear at Mityana Police station on 21st November 2022 as a prerequisite of a bond extended to him earlier on 3rd November, 2022.
Wamala, had prior on 30th October 2022, been sought by authorities over an offence of unnatural against the order of nature under section 145 of the Penal Code Act.
This was following an earlier incident in which Tony Lutaaya, alleged that Wamala whilst who was running a computer retail business in Mityana, tried to lure him into a sexual relationship (Homosexuality) prompting him to lodge a case against Wamala.
However, Wamala, was able to secure himself partial freedom following the intervention of his lawyer over illegal detention after the legally mandated 48 hours had elapsed.
The suspect then went underground and has since gone under the radar mysteriously. Wamala, who was a member of the Ignite Youth Group and a resident of Gganda-zone in the suburb of Nansana Municipality has since been missing. Efforts by the security authorities to trace his whereabouts have been futile.
