Now that 2023 is fast arriving, a year in which the next Netball World Cup will be played in South Africa, Uganda’s Netball She Cranes is also busy fixing holes and weak areas before the big event. To start off, their first trip is a United Kingdom destination as they prepare. Here they will play other World Cup bound teams The English Roses, the Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland.
At the United Kingdom test series that will be played between 29th September and 12th October 2022, will also see coach Fred Mugerwa’s She Cranes play against Loughborough Lightning Netball club on their line-up. This is the second time the She Cranes are facing England national team (Roses) in the Vitality International Series, with the first being in 2018. The Ugandans lost 3-0 to the English side as they prepared for the 2019 World Cup. She Cranes will have three games against the side that torments them (England Roses) with fixtures on October 5, October 8, and October 9th.
