The trending video of Hope Fred Mukasa, is featuring the veteran singer attacking his once most-cherished daughter Sabrina Mukasa, the one he had once named after his famous business tag, Sabrina`s Pub along Bombo Road. In the same video is Sabrina`s mother Sheena Nakimuli Mukasa and Old Kampala Police detectives trying to save the situation, The Investigator digs into the details.
We can authoritatively report how the hot violent video is a cumulative apex, thanks to the deep hatred for his once cherished daughter, and whose detailed chronology, safely lies in these pages. For starters, this video was shot on 3rd January 2023 and, it’s a definitive exhibition of the true nature of what has become of Hope Fred Mukasa once a suave gentleman behind the usual façade in the public domain.
Prior to the said day, the bailiffs had raided Block 1, plot 405 in Lubaga, and lawfully evicted tenants from a property which belongs to his ex-wife, Sheena Nakimuli Mukasa. Adjacent it is Mukasas Block. Both were awarded the respective properties by Court. The said tenants had illegally been housed in Sheenas Block by Mukasa. The bailiffs were being overseen by the local area leaders and police.
The following day, Sheena’s lawyers were baffled when they learnt that Mukasa had in wee hours of the night, vandalized padlocks to the apartments and returned the tenants into the property from which they had been removed. The matter was reported to Lungujja Police Post vide SD REF; 16/03/01/2023, with criminal tress pass and malicious damage to property charges prescribed.
Hope refused to report to Lungujja Police and hence, the file was later called to Old Kampala Police. On the said day, police sent two of its Scene of Crime Officers (SOCOs) to go and gather evidence from the scene. On seeing the two plain-clothed Detectives, Mukasa came down from his section of the apartments. Both Mukasa`s and Sheena`s apartments are demarcated by invisible stone features. This stance, after a court ruling upon their divorce.
However, he was taken aback and lost all his sanity, upon setting his eyes on his daughter Sabrina Mukasa, a resident of Luzira but who had come to visit her mother. Sheena, a diaspora resident was in the country for holidays, alongside getting rid of the several disputes between her and the ex-husband.
In the video, an animated Mukasa fumes as he charges towards his daughter, ordering her to leave his (compound). This, as his Sheena, in a motherly nature hurriedly moves in to protect her daughter. The two Detectives are forced to move into action, in time to prevent Mukasa from harming his daughter. Through all this, with Sabrina recording the proceedings and explaining to her father, that actually, where she stands is her mother`s side of the property.
In the process, Mukasa assaults one of the officers. To this end, the offended Detective officially place charges against him and is eventually and subsequently, arrested and hoarded to Old Kampala where, he was briefly held before his close confidant and a top Buganda Kingdom official, made calls to secure his release. The flashback holds how, Mukasa once named his famed business, Sabrina`s Pub and Restaurant, after his then cherished daughter, Sabrina Mukasa, now 37yrs.
Mukasa and Sheena, prior to setting up this business on Shoal House in Kampala, settled for the first name of their daughter. Sabrina`s Pub became a famous a place that evokes today`s great memories in the Uganda Karaoke and RnB music industry. Those in the know confided in us that little Sabrina and father Mukasa were inseparable. They shared unequivocal fondness of each other.
Three Decades after, Sabrina now Pays an Ultimate Price
Thirty years after, Mukasa and Sheena developed misunderstandings that led to incurable levels. When Sheena, now a resident of Uk finally opted to sign out of the marriage, she had to backup her divorce papers with water-tight grounds. She didn’t look far from their home. Among her supports came Sabrina who, sided with, and indeed swore affidavits in defense of her mother. This was among the documents at the Family Division of the High Court of Uganda vide Divorce Cause No.154 of 2019.
Here, Sheena sought legal declaration to end their 30-year marriage which had been solemnized on 25th July 1992 at St Paul’s Cathedral Namirembe. She cited Mukasa’s extra-marital affair with one Fiona Walusimbi, a former waitress at their family business, Sabrina’s Pub in 2014. Indeed, Mukasa and Fiona are blessed with three children aged between four and eleven years.
On 17th June 2022, Hon. Justice Dr. Joseph Murangira ruled in Sheena`s favor, thus annulling their marriage. Since then, Mukasa, who is alleged to have abrogated his parental duties for all these years, leaving Sheena to fend for all of their children, developed hatred for the children but more especially Sabrina, for penning the divorce documents.
Until the release of the video, many people in Mukasa’s circles have been helping him to evade the law. They include a Top Buganda Kingdom Royal Handler, Businessman Patrick, Ronald Kazibwe, a mean-looking fellow who cruises a metallic brown Toyota Crown car, and a one Bob who, is a security operative at CPS.
It was not until on 24th January 2023 that Mukasa was arraigned before Mengo Magistrates court to answer a cocktail of charges that included jumping a Police bond. He was subsequently remanded to Luzira prisons but later granted bail on 27th January 2023. Given the violent character Mukasa displayed via this video, we are tempted to investigate further, whether he some times acts under influence of any external substance. Watch this space…
